Here is a master study of "male figure in oil" by Robert Liberace. The painting was done in oils on an 18"x24" canvas. I tried using glazes to get the subtle skin tones and I think it worked out pretty well. For those that don't know, glazing is a technique of oil painting when you paint one layer, let it dry, then use thinned out transparent layers of paint over it to very slowly build up the values and color ranges.
